Frank Hopen

Managing Director

Frank Hopen is Managing Director at Sevan SSP. He graduated from University of Glasgow (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering) and has more than 24 years of experience in the ship and offshore industry. He has previously worked at LMG Marin and joined Sevan Marine in 2008. Frank also holds a Master in Technology Management from NTNU/NHH/MIT.

Mr. Hopen is a Norwegian citizen with residence in Bergen, Norway.

Otto Skjåstad

Head of Business Development and Technology

Otto Skjåstad is Head of Business Development and Technology at Sevan SSP. He joined Sevan Marine in 2008 and has  more than 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, holding various positions including Project Manager, Section Manager and Technical Director. Mr. Skjåstad graduated from the Norwegian University of Technology and Science with an MSc in Offshore Structures.

Mr. Skjåstad is a Norwegian citizen with residence in Arendal, Norway.

Hans Olav Sele

Head of Engineering  

Hans Olav Sele is Head of Engineering at Sevan SSP. He joined Sevan Marine in 2010 and has 18 years’ experience in the ship and offshore industry and has previously worked in DNVGL as a maritime technical consultant from 2001-2007 and later for the division Offshore Classification from 2007 to 2010. Mr. Sele holds a M.Sc in Marine Technology from Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

Mr. Sele is a Norwegian Citizen with residence in Oslo, Norway.

Lars Aaness

Principal Engineer, Systems, Safety and Layout
Lars is Principal Engineer (Systems, Safety and Layout) at Sevan SSP. He has over 30 years’ experience within various disciplines in the maritime and offshore industry and joined Sevan SSP in 2021. 

Tord Broms Thorsen

Business Development Manager
Tord is a Business Development Manager at Sevan SSP. Besides business development, he has over 17 years’ experience within marine analysis, offloading and project management. He joined Sevan Marine in 2011.

Line Madsen Reinfjord

Finance Controller
Line is a Finance Controller at Sevan SSP. She has 15 years’ experience in  the area of accounting and joined Sevan Marine in 2009.

Erling is Discipline Lead for Systems, Safety and Layout at Sevan SSP. He has over 30 years’ experience within various disciplines in the maritime and offshore industry and joined Sevan Marine in 2005.

Torstein Alexander Pettersen

Senior Engineer, Hull and Structure
Torstein is a Senior Engineer (Hull and Structure) at Sevan SSP. He joined Sevan SSP after working with DNV for 13 years in classification and advisory departements. He graduated from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in 2008.

Oda Emilie Nilseng Danielsen

Oda is an Engineer (Hull and Structure) at Sevan SSP. She graduated from Norwegian University of Science and Technology in 2017 and joined Sevan SSP in 2019.

Bjørn Hervold Riise

He has 15 years of experience from the offshore and renewable industry within design criteria, technical analyses, model testing, prototype development, and research and development. He holds a PhD in Marine Hydrodynamics and joined Sevan SSP in 2023.
